Multi DOF Torsion
Challenge:
Design a control system to regulate the angular position of a load via a flexible coupling.
Description:
A DC motor with a horizontal shaft rotates a flexible coupling attached to a rotational load. This system can be instrumented with up to SEVEN cascaded loads thus allowing for multidimensional analysis.
The objective is to position the load angle as rapidly as possible with minimum vibrations. The system can be instrumented. The system is supplied with a multiple mode controller. You may design any other controller you wish.
