This hands-on workshop will provide a general introduction to the key features and capabilities of COMSOL Multiphysics, its range of modules and applications in various engineering fields. You will learn about all the main aspects of using COMSOL, including the fundamentals of multiphysics modeling, so as to help you be confident with using the software to solve simulation problems.

Key contents include:

  • Introduction to physics based modules (electrical, mechanical, fluid flow, chemical)
  • Multiphysics approaches
  • Coupling of different physics
  • Simulation workflow
    • Set up the model environment
    • Create geometrical objects
    • Specify material properties
    • Define physics boundary conditions
    • Create the mesh
    • Run the simulation
    • Postprocess the results
  • Hands-on exercises
